Miako Klein and Jia Lim came together as fellow early music specialists with a shared curiosity to bridge the world of modern improvisation with live electronics to the realm of historical performance practice. Their experimentation culminated in a fruitful collaboration for this debut album with sound engineer Sebastian Schottke at the Zentrum Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe in 2023.

NOVA ATLANTIS was released in January 2026 on BUZZ, an imprint of Challenge Records.​
