Sonus Feminæ is a Berlin-based concert series for early music, initiated in 2023 by Miako Klein together with her ensemble Cité des Dames. As its artistic director, Miako develops programmes that bring music by women and overlooked female voices from music history into focus. Rooted in early music, the series regularly expands the traditional concert format through literature, visual art, contemporary composition and staged elements, opening new perspectives on authorship, authority and representation. Projects within Sonus Feminæ have received funding from the Hauptstadtkulturfonds, the LOTTO-Stiftung Berlin and the Berlin Senate Department for Culture.
